Top Affiliates FAQ's

What is Checkmystats?

Checkmystats is more than just your solution provider for Affiliates and Merchants.  It is a network that allows you (the webmaster of your own site) control over adding banners and advertising to your website to increase revenues.

What is the "Title of Site" field in the sign up form?

This is the name of your site.  If you open your site and look in the top left hand side of your browser, this is your title.

What are "Unique Impressions", and "Unique Clicks"?

A unique impression is when a banner is displayed on your web site. This does not mean that someone has, or will click on the banner, just that it was displayed on your page. A unique click is when someone clicks (repeated clicks from one individual does not count) on the banner you have displayed.
If a visitor to your site sees the same banner in less than 24 hours either by re-visiting your site, or by refreshing/reloading page then the impression's do not count, only non unique impressions are generated. The time is tracked from the last unique impression timestamp so non-unique impressions do not reset the time mark again. After 24 hours the next unique impression may be generated from same visitor.

The same rule applies to unique clicks.

When do I get paid?

We endeavour to disperse affiliate payments within 30 days of invoice date (usually closing of each month)*. A detailed statement of your earnings is available to view in your account settings as "commission statement".

*Please note that payments may be delayed in certain circumstances outside our control for eg. delay in CheckMyStats receiving payments from Merchant.

What is your minimum payment policy?

The minimum amount is $50 AUD. Earnings below $50 AUD will be rolled over to the next month.

Can I be guaranteed that I will make revenue with your program? Also how much could I make?

With Checkmystats we provide all the tools you need, at no cost to yourself.  The amount of revenue you could make is based on the amount of effort you put into your business.  There is no doubt that many users are increasing their revenue every month.

Are there any limitations on the revenue I can earn from my site?

No, there are none, make as much as you wish. As long as the merchant is receiving quality traffic,  they will  pay you as much money as they have in their ad budget which sometimes can run into 10's  of thousands of dollars of revenue to you!

I am not an Australian can l still join the Checkmystats Program?

Absolutely, our program is available to everyone, no matter what country you live in. However you need to be able to accept Pay Pal for payment and we do not accept accounts which use a free email provider like hotmail, gmail or yahoo. We need to be able to validate your account.

When are my account's statistics updated?

We update your statistics in real time which means you can check on your activity 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

I own an opt in mailing list/newsletter. Can I use this as a way to advertise your offers?

Sure, this is no problem as long as you follow our Terms and Conditions correctly.

Do I need to provide Checkmystats.com.au with my Tax file number in order to participate in the network?

At this stage Australian Residents do need to provide a tax file number. Overseas customers also do not have to give us any tax information (please note depending on your Country of Origin you are required to declare all income for tax purposes).

How Do I Place a banner on my site?

Very easy. Once you have subscribed to a campaign or banner you are presented with a choice on how to display a banner. Replace "yourcode" with your code from the system. Cut and paste the code to your websites.

Top Merchants FAQ's

What is a Merchant?

A Merchant is any web site that offers other web sites (affiliates), online-ads and links to their products and services, and agrees to pay those affiliates a commission for leads or sales that result from their site.

What is an Affiliate?

An Affiliate is an independent party, or web site, that promotes the products or services of a Merchant via selected approved media in the form of banners and links in exchange for a commission.

What is a CPA (cost per action) advertising program?

Any type of revenue sharing program where an Affiliate web site receives a commission for delivering a visitor to a Merchants site, and/or for generating a lead or sale for that advertiser.

What are the requirements for being a Merchant?

A Merchant has a product or service they want to advertise and sell via the Internet. All Merchants must apply to join and are screened by Checkmystats staff. New Merchants agree to pay a set-up fee to activate their program. To set up a merchant program, merchants must have creative content (i.e. banners, text links, product links) to advertise these products or services. Review our acceptance criteria.

Can I participate if I live outside the country?

Yes you can.  Checkmystats.com.au is available to Merchants who reside outside Australia. Currently all  Affiliate commissions are paid in Australian dollars.

How do the Affiliates get paid?

Checkmystats aggregates each Affiliate\'s total commissions earned each month from all merchants they partner with, and all of the links used. If this amount exceeds AU$50, Checkmystats sends the Affiliate either a cheque, direct deposit or online payment via PayPal. For this reason, each merchant is required to keep a balance of AUD$200 in their Checkmystats account so their Affiliates can be paid by Checkmystats.

Do I have to serve my own banners and pay for ad serving?

No, Checkmystats serves every ad, banner, and link in the network for each Merchant at no additional cost.

What type of shopping cart does your system work with?

The Checkmystats system will work with 99% of all shopping carts.

How much is it really going to cost us?

A Merchant only pays for valid traffic of which a commission is paid to your Affiliate and a service fee is paid to Checkmystats.

EXAMPLE ONE: If you, a Merchant, offer $0.10 per click and an affiliate sends you  a valid click, the affiliate earns $0.10 and Checkmystats earns a $0.03 service fee, so the total will be $0.13. The $0.13 is then deducted from your escrow account.

EXAMPLE TWO: If you, the Merchant, are offering 20% commission on each sale and if an Affiliate sends you a valid sale for example $100, the Affiliate earns $20 and Checkmystats earns a $2.50 service fee, so the total will be $22.50, which is then deducted from your escrow account.

In order to protect affiliates from Merchant non-payment, we require that all Merchants open an escrow account. All Affiliate payout and service fees will be deducted from this account as they occur. The minimum escrow starting balance is $200.00 AUD and can be topped up at anytime please see price guide for latest information.
